FlowCards Privacy Policy
Effective date: July 24, 2026
1. Overview
FlowCards (“we”, “our”, “us”) is a spaced-repetition flashcard app available on Android and the web. This policy explains what data we collect, why we collect it, and your rights over it.
2. Data We Collect
- Account information — email address and display name when you sign up or log in with Google.
- Flashcard content — decks, cards, and study history you create or import.
- Study statistics — review logs (card ID, rating, timestamp) used to schedule future reviews.
- Purchase information — subscription status managed by RevenueCat. We never see your payment card details.
- Device information — anonymised identifiers used by RevenueCat to verify purchases.
3. How We Use Your Data
- To provide and sync your flashcard content across devices.
- To calculate spaced-repetition schedules (FSRS algorithm).
- To generate flashcards with AI when you use that feature — card content is sent to the Anthropic API and is not stored by Anthropic beyond the request.
- To verify and manage your Pro subscription via RevenueCat.
- To send optional study-reminder notifications (you can disable these in Settings).
4. Third-Party Services
- Supabase — cloud database and authentication. Data is stored in the EU region. Supabase Privacy Policy.
- Anthropic — powers AI card generation. Text you submit is processed per Anthropic's Privacy Policy.
- RevenueCat — subscription management. See RevenueCat's Privacy Policy.
- Google Play — app distribution and payment processing.
5. Data Storage and Security
Your account data and flashcard content are stored in Supabase. Locally created content is kept in an on-device SQLite database and synced to the cloud when you are signed in. We use industry-standard TLS encryption for all data in transit.
6. Data Retention and Deletion
We retain your data for as long as your account is active. You can delete your account and all associated data at any time by contacting us at kate.laksha@gmail.com. On-device data is deleted when you uninstall the app.
7. Children's Privacy
FlowCards is not directed at children under 13. We do not knowingly collect personal information from children under 13. If you believe we have inadvertently collected such information, please contact us and we will delete it promptly.
8. Your Rights
Depending on your location you may have the right to access, correct, or delete your personal data, or to object to or restrict certain processing. To exercise any of these rights, contact us at kate.laksha@gmail.com.
9. Changes to This Policy
We may update this policy from time to time. We will notify you of material changes by updating the effective date at the top of this page. Continued use of FlowCards after changes constitutes acceptance of the updated policy.
